Water & Environment

Project Title

The Kish Environmental Research Institute was established in 2020 to advance applied research in environmental protection, biodiversity, renewable energy, marine technologies, waste management, and water, food, and energy security. The institute was established through collaboration between Iran University of Science and Technology, the Department of Environment, and the Kish Free Zone Organization.

Sepehran contributed to the establishment and equipping of the institute, taking responsibility for setting up and equipping its laboratories. The project included infrastructure preparation, procurement and installation of required equipment, and creating the necessary facilities for research and laboratory activities. These capabilities enable the institute to conduct research in areas including environmental monitoring, renewable energy, water, waste management, marine ecosystems, and technologies adapted to the local conditions of Kish Island.
